AA reported that the 40-mile military council camp on the Rakhine - Bangladesh border was seized. 19 soldiers of the Military Council were killed and weapons seized.


It was reported that the Rakhine army was able to capture a Military Council camp near milepost number (40) on August 31st. The fighting started around the camp since August (2nd) and it has been almost a month since the fighting took place in Palatwa region and other places including this place.


The military council army is firing heavy weapons estimated the number of (300/400) per day at Kha Maung Seik, Milestone No. (34) (38), No.(7) Kyaing Chaung strategy, They are firing almost every day from their military bases in the vicinity, including the places between mileposts (38) and (39). They were also bombing and attacking with jet fighters during these days.


However, the Arakhan Army launched an offensive attack against the military council's base camp near milepost number 40. The entire camp was seized at 9:12 in the morning. 


AA said that they attacked and captured the military council's Mile 40 camp in retaliation for the killing of innocent civilians by the Military Council's army.


During the battle of Mile 40, one of the members of the military council was seriously injured and a total of 19 including "Police officer Soe paing" were killed. A large amount of military equipment was seized. During the previous days, many bodies of the deceased were also found buried in this camp. The AA side suffered damage during the battle to seize the camp, AA reported.
